OFFICIAL Q-TIP AFTERPARTY

We're thrilled to announce that the legendary Q-Tip will be hosting his official afterparty at Mud after his live show in the Button Factory early that evening. While Tip is best known for rocking da mic (having been the front man in A Tribe Called Quest until their split in '98, and reppin solo ever since) he also has nuff skills behind the decks spinning a tight selection of funky old school relics, 90s favs, new school hits as well as some funk & disco. Tip actually plays regularly alongside Rich Medina in NYC's APT.

Check out the video for Q-Tip's most recent single "Gettin Up"

SPACE2PACE LABEL LAUNCH

Ricky Force one of the main movers in the Dublin's Reach collective is all set to launch his own label "Space2Pace" records. Tonight he'll be celebrating the label's birth with a fine DnB talent bill featuring Metalheadz star Outrage and J-Tek's Modular, with support from Ricky himself, Bassbin's Naphta and Space2Pace's signee Gremino from Finland.

Space2Pace will hone in on a slower style of DnB, somewhere in between dubstep and the current wave of DnB (about 145Bpm if we're to get really technical & specific!).

OUTRAGE & MODULAR

As well as being one of Goldie's Metalheadz longtime stars, Outrage is also running a similarly themed label over in the UK called J-Tek (Jungle Tekno Records) alongside Modular. Not long in action, J-Tek already features kicking tracks from artists like Randall, Digital, Secret Society and Outrage & Modular themeselves, and the guys have big plans for the label in '09.

On a Metalheadz tip, here's a vid we found on DnB TV of all the label's main players (Goldie, Outrage, Storm, Bailey) discussing the best moments of the label:
