Launching their debut EP Last Days of Death Country will bring some grunge fulled guitar lines to the Stage of The Twisted Pepper, with support from Dublin based Catscars and We Cut Corners.

LAST DAYS OF DEATH COUNTRY

www.myspace.com/lastdaysofdeathcountry

One of the biggest, most alluringly aggressive and addictive sounds on the local music scene, Last Days Of Death Country are a recently formed four-piece group that splice honesty and intensity with great effect. The result; a distinct, pulsating, and unreservedly raw brand of alternative grunge rock.

Spread between Limerick and Belfast, the group are considered one of the hardest working bands around. They dedicate efforts to producing at times serene and blissfully unaware sounds that swell to haunting emotional anthemic breaks, infused with striking guitar melodies, gritty riffs and a relentless thrashing momentum.

Releasing their debut EP "Mode and Effect" Recorded with 'The Cranberries' sticks-man Fergal Lawler, in march, The band intend to bring the release to every corner of the country and beyond.

WE CUT CORNERS

www.myspace.com/wecutcorners

We Cut Corners are a Dublin based 2-piece who play short songs ondrums and guitar. Since their inception they have shared stages withJoan as Policewoman, Frightened Rabbit and Two-Door Cinema Club amongothers and took part in this year's Hard Working Class Heroes festival. 'These Dubliners are a minimalist guitar-and-drums set-upwho, on a good day, sound like Bright Eyes after he has elbowed his way into The White Stripes.' Brian Boyd, Irish Times

CATSCARS

www.myspace.com/catscars

Catscars play the sort of music not conceived in the recording studio but in the laboratory of some evil, demented scientist. Inspired by John Carpenter, Vangelis and a healthy dose of 80’s New Wave, Robyn Bromfield – alias Catscars – has spent the past year nurturing a sound full of cinematic tension and with a dark, sinister soul at its core.

With a live show that includes footage from classic sci-fi and horror movies providing the narrative in place of lyrics, the Catscars experience will leave you looking over your shoulder with uneasiness.
