While upstairs in the stage, Choicecut's DJ Scope also gives life to his brand new project Revolution (as in RPM, not revolt) featuring the current underground soul, funk & hip-hop sounds bustin out of LA & NYC. Revolution will also lean heavy on visual art and will be complemented by a website featuring artists choice, a selection of whom will appear at the night over the coming year.
Tonight's special guest is up & coming London beat freak Bullion. With serious remixes for Tricky, Osbourne & Natural Self, Bullion is catching the attention of a lot of big heads in the scene including Mary Anne Hobbes who invited him onto her BBC show for a live mix, also getting bigs ups from Giles Peterson, Benji B, Phil Asher & Jason Bentley.
Check this quote from JDilla's DJ House Shoes - "After listening to the new Bullion joint, i drove back to Detroit, and punched my mom in the stomach. FILTHY."
You can listen to Bullions tracks & remixes on his myspace, and also pick up to free DJ mixes too: <http://www.myspace.com/bullionness>
