Nothing like starting things early. A day early. Airbound magically became a four-day festival yesterday. Here’s some of what you missed.
Just to be sure that we are in the right place
This man looks remarkably happy. The process of doling out tickets had not started, so that might explain it. Or maybe he’s just happy.
This is more innocent than it looks.

Much of the first day involved people – who may be in the process of getting sunburned - walking around the site, looking at things.
And standing, looking at things.
And sitting in linear formation.
The site is next door to a family resort, so there was a mix of ravers wandering around, and locals doing family things.
Barbarella’s Discotheque is where everyone goes after midnight. This is a picture of some older folk having a nose around during the day. Alas, there was no dancing for them to enjoy.
This man is in charge of a pedalo, and drinking two bottles of beer at the same time, possibly contravening Croatian law.
Things were still getting erected on the other stages. This is the Live Stage.
The music started in a place called the Tikki Lounge, an outdoor stage overlooking the sea. It was very pleasant.
That’s a good choice, isn’t it?
This might look peaceful, but just out of shot there was a large bassbin, playing music that sounded like the record in the shot above.
