Not if you were the last club on Earth: Womb - Tokyo, Japan
You've got to travel a long way east if you want to visit the second best club in the world.
As one of the biggest clubs in Tokyo, Womb has 4 floors. Bars are installed at each floor. The ceiling of the main room is quite high, with a massive mirror ball (biggest mirror ball in the world, they claim) and amazing laser lighting system. Sound system is top class too, but due to complaints from the neighborhood, recently they were forced to turn down the volume a bit. This club was ranked number two in the world by DJMag, and when the sound system is on full you will see what it's all about. Some scenes from the film "Babel" were shot in this club. The door policy is strictly over 20's with valid photo ID. No exceptions. If you register your fingerprint with the club, you don't need ID and you get a member's discount. Wow, George Orwell would be delighted.
It's located in the middle of a maze of alley and streets in West Shibuya, so check the direction before heading there. Also this location (in the middle of numerous Love-hotels ) comes in handy, just in case you scored.
Talent: Because of the location (few mins from main street of Shibuya), the type of crowd can be varied. There is a huge number of hard-core regular techno heads always giving it socks on the floor. Techno nights tend to attract more males. Some "hot" DJs can attract a good number of stunning looking girls, depend on their fame. It's a place for dancing, not conversation or flirting.
Toilets: Nice and clean. The queue isn't too bad. Special feature here is, there are touch screens installed on some gents bathroom and womens, you can write message onto the screen, which is then shown on the screen of the opposite sex's bathroom. No kidding.
Sounds: Adam Beyer, Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath, Jeff Mills etc are regular guest DJs here. Also it's home to some top class Japanese techno DJs Fumiya Tanaka/Takkyu Ishio/Ken Ishi etc. If you are into big room techno/electro sound, this is the place you should check out first.
Goodies: Loads, but only of a Japanese standard. And expensive. Percentage of people "eating" (Japanese expression "tailing stuff") are quite higher in this club, and sure you can spot some people are on stuff, but still less common compared to typical European clubs. Japanese police attitude toward illegal substances is one of the strictest in the world. Because of this fame and prime location, local law enforcers are always heavy on this place, so be careful and do it your own risk.
Icebreaker: I used to live in Berlin and was a regular at Tresor.
Jawbreaker: Richie Hawtin is racist.
