Dublin Writer's Forum - Every Thursday in The Loft
Founded by writers Liz McSkeane and Anne Tannam, DWF is a group of writers based in Dublin who share a common passion for all things literary. DWF is an open group, so we welcome writers of all genres, of all ages, experienced writers or writers just starting out.
What do we do?
We aim to provide a safe ‘working space’ on a weekly basis where writers can bring their work to be critiqued by other writers.
How do we work?
Liz and Anne facilitate the DWF meetings, which are held every Thursday night in the Loft Bookshop of The Twisted Pepper.
Each participant has a maximum of 10 minutes to read their work aloud to the rest of the group. Then follows a discussion of 10-15 minutes, when group members give the writer constructive feedback on their piece.
About half-way through the evening we set aside 10 - 15 minutes for a general discussion on a prepared topic. During this time, a member of the group volunteers to share a literary passion or lead a discussion on a subject that interests them
What do you need to do to take part?
Come along. Bring your passion, your critical skills and copies of your work (which you will take back at the end of the night). The DWF operates on a drop-in basis. We are here every week and writers come when they can. Looking forward to meeting you!
