mate said he had to leave fly lo as the sound was so poor. ffs. this shouldn't be an issue at a festival of this scale.

Had a fantastic weekend, was worth the 8 hour flight for.
Highlights:
The Little Big tent was great all weekend, really enjoyed Jacques Lu Cont in particular.
Movember Tent - not quite the level of fun had there last year, but was excellent nonetheless, loads of sound heads hanging around there whenever we popped in.
Big Blue Bus - was brilliant fun on there, and the sister bus beside it was also bouncing all weekend.
Chemical Brothers - they were really good, but the sound wasn't right. The wind didn't help, but an extra bit of ooomph on the system would have gone a long way. Once again though, reaffirms my belief that for the most part, dance acts are far better in a tent than on an outdoor stage, especially that outdoor stage.
Bacardi B Bar - same area as last year, very enjoyable except for a particular dj that played several times over the weekend. Bit older, greyish hair, was shite.
Body & Soul area - Spent more time in there than any other year. Delivered once again.
Free access to the Tangerine Fields with the comp I won. Was nice to be away from what ensued in the other campsite.
Lowlights:
Getting lost in the woods and missing Arcade Fire, Paul Kalkbrenner and most of Dave Clarke. Darkness & a day of drinking = walking around in circles for two hours. Complete fail.
The increased number of knackers, but with Clarke, Underworld and Chemical Brothers on the bill, not surprising.
Handsome Paddy apparently getting thrown off stage less than halfway through his set for not being suitable for the B Bar. Absolutely disgraceful from the B Bar and whoever made that call. One of the best djs in Ireland imo.
Underworld - sound seemed to have deteriorated even further on Sunday, atmosphere was non existant. Dreadful stuff.

The only downside for me was not being there long enough to explore. I thought sound and atmosphere at Underworld was fantastic at the front Paddy, lots of room to move too. And I'm half deaf and used to being superglued to the bass bins!
Yeah they've been around for years, and there's not much new. But they make it work imo. I loved it. Hyde was loving it too, which makes an Underworld performance. Sorry I missed them at Arcadia later doing a dj bit. Anyone see that?

yeah only regret i had was not being there long enough to see/do a bit of everything , coz they was so much good stuff on
sound in main stage would vary wildly depending on where you stood . its always been that way, whether its the slight hill, other tents, wind or whatever, sound from that main stage has always been ropey if yer in the wrong place, but if up near top not a problem. problem for arcade fire for us was it was actually hard to get into a good position coz they'd a big crowd.
saw underworld at sonar, i dunno, wasnt great, they really dont look the part anymore, like the rolling stones of electronic music or summit. i love(d) em n all , but still wasnt arsed missing them
did pulp do the biz ? really wanted to catch them

that's brutal re: handsome paddy. cunts.

Pulp had a massive crowd, 4000 sunday day tics probably helped. they were on top form, last night of tour, diddn't take the reunion seriously and wasn't expecting much but it was really good, common people was up there with anything acr fire did the night before.

B bar should be re-named Torremelinos. Only good for some rum and the bit of horse meat disco I caught, otherwise most of the cheesy bastard uk jocks were shite. Russ Chimes, and other folk I had never heard of should be shot..Although a certain mutual friends lazerballs dancing on Sunday and the general howl we had any time we went there made up sor that somewhat.
On another note I had a splendid weekend, superb stuff. Sound at flylo was off for sure but I think I was too excited so quickly got over it. After a pretty hards days drinking and banter soit didnt sound as bad as it probably was. Apart from the sound he was (and is) absolutely amazing.
