city never took the corithians offer becuase they felt it was all bluff. which was fair enough. had they known then, the levels tevez would stoop too, maybe they'd have taken that bluff, as even that scenario is probably better than the one they're currently in
you wonder if this case will have more repurcussions. player power has gone too far, much like in the past , the clubs had too much power. the only way i can see this getting solved is if tevez apologies , to everyone. but i cant see that happening, mainly because i dont think the agent can take a cut from an apology.

You can bet that he'll try though.

i think the board will be doing everything possible to sack him for gross misconduct. his first statement after the game contradicts his 'it was a misunderstanding' line and his previous behaviour (transfer request) will strenghten their case when it inevitably goes down the legal route.

As with anything though, all you need is a half-decent lawyer to only cloud the issue somewhat and he could get away with it. The cunt.
It's a strange one though, I would have thought that I'd be enjoying seeing a team like citeh who are looking to buy their way to success being in such turmoil, but the sad thing is that it's just another reason why I'm falling out of love with the game. There doesn't seem to be any area of it that stinks.

i can definitely see tevez being able to cloud the issue pleading a manuel [que, que? ]  for sure. but i do think city will do everything in their considerable power to drag this through the courts, and if possible, prevent tevez from playing football again. especially seeing as fifa seem to be behind them. and especially seeing as they seem to have lost their chairman, because of the same agent.
city owners will probably do one of two things. 1 be done with tevez, at whatever cost, coz he's an embarrassment to them above all, and the owners dont like this sort of publicity 2 take him to the cleaners to show him, and anyone else, they wont be messed around with.
i really hope they go with no 2. if its no 1 it makes them an even bigger laughing stock than they already are. lets not forget the dzeko incident that preceded it, and all the other stuff that goes with city these days. if nowt else, never a dull moment !

I love that line "a team like citeh who are looking to buy their way to success"
every team whos won the premierleague has bought their way to success, having a bad apple like tevez in there till at least january shouldnt really prevent them from going about their business especially now he'll never be anywhere even near the bench

attributing Cook's resignation to Joorabchian is a bit of a stretch, he got caught out for hitting reply instead of forward on his ipad. Dzeko having a bit of a sulk is hardly newsworthy either, he's a striker that has finally settled in and he was being subbed for a defensive midfielder with loads of time on the clock. he's hardly going to be happy is he?
the Shinawatra 'possible history of crimes against humanity, but he's handy on the fairway' business was embarrassing. Cook was embarrassing. Tevez is embarrassing. i can take it all on the chin. at least we're playing good, entertaining domestic football.

you don't see the difference with a team like city or chelsea winning the league compared to united or arsenal?
