Its the Barry Egan of RA articles. Some amount of cringeworthy name dropping. I especially shuddered at the one about Lee Curtiss and the burger. As if he wasnt enough of a cunt before that

Thought the writing was patchy in a lot of places, had a bit of a bad Leaving Cert standard about it at times but I found the subject pretty interesting. Unless you are a promoter or part of a crew that is involved in the production of gigs I reckon its rare to get a profile of an artist your interested in so from that point of view I enjoyed it.

Regarding his "woe-is-me" comments, I think that they were sort of balanced out by an honest appreciation for how lucky he is to do what he does (see last paragraph of the article).

To be fair, Troxler actually seemed like a nice enough chap when I met him around the shaw when he was living here, and seemed fairly down to earth.

I think the problem is more the angle the article is taking, trying to curry sympathy for a bunch of lads who get 4 figure sums to travel the world playing records, going on the tear and banging birds is the problem. If its that hard a life, the answer is simple: do less fucking gigs or stop altogether

found that article painful to read, gave up tbh. not so much the subject or the person, just the writing style .

wouldnt have a problem with troxler myself. think he's allright on the night, for what he is tbh. if the kids are listening to him and not some shitty trance/hardhouse shite, well then, they could be doing alot worse.

Terrible article. I only read first few lines and could't take anymore. Dont like seth Troxler nor any of the hams he djs with or those in attendance. But yeah, its better than hard house or trance but...
