The chips in Morelli's on Thomas Street are pretty good, their burgers and fish are ok too, but it's their chips that are worth it. It's hard for chips to maintain any crispiness on the outside after they've been sweating in a take away bag, but Morelli's is the closes I had it from.

Got caught up in the "you have to go to Burdock's" thing when I first moved here, and whilst they're good I found they were slightly inconsistent each time I went, especially with the chips. And yes I went the Christchurch one.

Anyone been to that chipper in Blessington? Crazy guy down there runs a half sweet shop/ half chipper. All he mainly does is chips, but will thrown on the odd sausage if you want it. Cooks the chips two or three times, long wait but seriously worth it. Was wrapping them in proper newspaper too when I went.

Used to go to Aprile beside the shaw as it was the nearest place still doing food after we finished work, they do a great chicked fillet baguette.

Went back there after being out of the country (not really eating shitty food) for 4/5 months, got my usual order and felt sick as a dog after eating it.

I second the Macari in Clondalkin! The Mona Lisa on the Crumlin road is quality but it’s been a while since I was last there. Burrdocks is always about the fish for me so I never really pay that much interest to the chips [I still gobble them up though]. The nicest fish and chips I had recently was Beshoff’ in Howth. Frrrresh! Always thought the Midnight Express was best around town but I’ve still a few to try :) J

I never liked the Golden Chippy and their ‘No few chips’ sign. The scab bags!

One of the worst chippers in Dublin IMO. Bleugh. Along with Roma II on Camden St. Not sure if it's still there but it was a fuckin hole. Even the Palace crowd shunned it which speaks volumes.

For chips it's gotta be Mizzoni's on the Rathgar Road. Also while not a chipper per se, the burgers in Ricks on Dame St are to die for.
