Went down early Sunday morning on a rollover....incredibly messy and saturating banter. M83 were a highlight. Set up was much better than last years. The main stage was brilliant. Didn't get to explore too much, couldn't see properly anyway. Havana club was absolutely banging as well. Although, too many kids were roaming around with juiced out parents, well after midnight. All in all, a great night.

was great , loved it . truth be told didnt see many acts or wander around as much as i'd liked to have. was sorta festival you knew almost everyone by one degree, and its small enough to just keep bumpin into your mates without having to ring em or meet a some miles off location

great site for a festival ballinlough , once your in there, all manner of fun to be had. KBB was the highlight for me by a mile. followed closely by England losing on pennos

Had a great weekend. The new main stage area is a big improvement.

Saw lots of music, Kormac/M83 and the sun coming out yesterday were particular highlights. Loads of good music/fun in every corner. That's the first year there was no restrictions on bringing drink into evey area which was great.

Only gripe was lack of toilets and water points. There were nearly queues to get behind a tree.

Actually got to see fuck all, largely due to having the family with me. Between feeding, watering and blagging backstage toilets for them, it was a wonder I even go to have a drink myself.
That said though it was some craic. Great weather and as Trev mentioned, couldn't help but bump into people you knew down there. The kids facilites were great and a welcome break from some of out of the headness on dsiplay almost everywhere you looked (looking on jealously I might add).

A bit muddy underfoot (which nothing could be done about) but still manged to come back with my runners still reasonably white.

    Havan area looked deadly.

I know loads of folk do it nowadays at some fests (so this is not a personal attack mr whitehouse!), but it boggles my mind why folk bring children to fests.

It's a fair comment. Think some festivals are more suited to having kids there than others. B&S had some excellent facilities and from a childs persepective the whole place looked like Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom

Have to admit, bringing the youngest one really limited us to what we could do and see, but the three year old took to it like any Feeney would to a festival.

Thats fair enough re:facilities at B&S. I just cant stand children running around when i'm spannered. And some parents are really irresponsible at these things. Some seem to think they can combine getting munted while having their children around. Not cool.

Free Rotation which i'm going to next week is run by a couple of hippies and with its whole way of being I thought it may be one of those fests that try and cater for families etc. I was extremely happy when their emails stated that there is strictly no dogs or children allowed :)

headed down for the sunday on the roll-over, interesting drive down, highlights include main stage, M83, meeting dolf and getting into a jocker with him, it being dry enough to sit in the ground and pan out,lax rules of bringing n booze n, lil daves set in the forest, serious tune selection.

low point would be john talabots set being imo all over the place, must say i still kind of enjoyed it. another low point is not being able to find my car at 7am monday morning,

great venue, hadnt been there since garden party n '07, will defo go next year, kudos to the organisers!!!!

tbh going off Whitehouse's musical tastes, i'd say it was more a case of Max bringing Daddy to B&S...
