We also doubt the Grammy's are really that much of a priority for many dance music artists, but we're still really glad to see Stereotonic favourite Carl Craig get his dues for his rather amazing remix of the Junior Boys - Like A Child.

Released near the start of the year, its perfect C2 stuff, and remained one of the tracks of the year since then. So its only slightly unsurprising to see it garner a nomination in the rather convoluted "Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical" category. Of course, whats more unsurprising is the rest of the category, mostly the usual "what are the kids listening to these days" forgettable nonsense. Or to put it more officially:

Any good favour for a single interesting nomination is ruined by the usual neglect paid to the rest of the "dance" categories. You know what we mean, the tendency for overarching music "authorities" like this to call anything made with a drum machine and some computers to be "dance music". Heres the other dance nominations
