Prolific producer explores new territory.

Celebrated producer Prefuse 73's latest album is done, with advance listens revealing a wider and more melodic perspective than his previous beat-obsessed outings. 'Everything She Touched Turned Ampexian' boasts an ADD-esque 30 tracks, ranging in length from 36 seconds to an epic four minutes. Recorded direct on to Ampex analogue tape - hence the title - the album, while still one for the heads, dips into prog, psych and tropicalia. It is released on Warp on April 14.
