One of the last two remaining members of Kraftwerk, Florian Schneider, has quit the electronic band.

A short statement posted on the bands website outlines the 40 years he spent with fellow co founder Ralf Hutter and credits “the state of art that led to Kraftwerks music all these years”.

No reason was given for the departure but the band are still due to open for Radiohead on their Latin and South American tour which kicks of on the 15th of March in Mexico City.
