So, time for our second podcast in the Melt series, featuring Ian Pooley. We think we should take this time to explain exactly about the Melt brand, and introduce it a bit more. Which is easy, because we didn't introduce it at all last time.

We've got loads of tasty musical treats lined up for you for the next few months, and we've decided to launch a few brands to better encapsulate what each of the podcasts are, and to make them a bit more interesting than the norm. We already have several series' running to cater for the straight up DJ sets that fit into the style of our nights. So we wanted to take these new podcasts in a different direction, and make them interesting and hopefully unique. You'll see some of the other brands in the coming months, but for now, heres the one we're introducing today, Melt.

Melt is a series where we invite DJs and producers to simply be eclectic, and create the perfect post-club/pre-ironing/Sunday afternoon compilation, drawn from tracks which have inspired them throughout the years, or some little gem of a tune they somehow stumbled across and want to share. We aren't going to call Melt a "chillout" compilation, because we feel thats a bit too restrictive, but it certainly will lean in that direction.

First up we had Charles Webster with a brilliant smooth and relaxed mix, which you should check out if you haven't already. This month, we have something completely different from house legend, Ian Pooley. Heres a quick biography:

"Hailing from Mainz, near Frankfurt, Germany, Ian Pooley, alongside other nu school German artists such as Mousse T and partner in crime, DJ Tonka, has been swapping the traditional hard trance/techno sounds typical of some German clubs for the funky and sublime sounds imported from America, to great affects"

Mr Pooleys Melt release is a great upbeat assortment of Samba and Bosso Nova tracks from his extensive Brazilian influenced music collection. We don't have a tracklist currently, but we'll try and get one very soon, in the meantime, enjoy!
