Bodytonic favourite, DJ Marky delivers 48 minutes of Disco bliss for the latest Bodytonic instalment.

We also had a quick chat with the Brazilian to see what 2010 has in store.

The King of Drum & Bass album is out now - can you tell us the thought process behind selecting the tracks for the record?

Well, choosing the tracks was the easy part really. I chose a selection of tracks, mostly brand new, that I was really into which was everything from Random Movement to my own productions with SPY. I wanted to try and get that ebb and flow kind of vibe where the music brings you up and then slows you back down again, like a journey of some description. The hard part was putting them together in a mix that sounded like a true representation of me and my style.

Can we look forward to a Marky studio album anytime soon?

I am always getting asked this and to be fair, it has been a while since my last artist album. It is an idea I am playing with for sure, but at the moment touring commitments are making it tough to sit down for any length of time in the studio to work on a project of that size. I hope to be able to get some new tracks finished in the coming months and then we'll see what happens from there. For the moment though, I am making some really great tracks alongside SPY and releasing them on various labels, so there is definitely some DJ Marky content around the place.

You recently played a European tour; do you have one single city or club where you love playing?

Well of course, I love playing my residency at Fabric. The vibe is really good down there and London has become like a second spiritual home for me as I spend so much time there when I tour Europe. I have a few favourite spots in Europe though like Prague, Vienna, Paris and of course the Twisted Pepper in Dublin!

You have just remixed Deadmau5 and are said to be working with Claude Von Stroke- is there any artist you have not yet collaborated with that you would like to work with?

I am always up for doing some collaborations or remixes for people, but it doesn't depend on the artist so much as the track you have to work with. Strobe by Deadmau5 for example, pretty much wrote itself with the keys and atmospherics. If I was to start listing the people I'd love to work with as vocalists, co-producers etc then we'd probably run out of space!

There is so much good Drum & Bass being produced right now- what new artist (or artists) are you most excited about in 2010?

Definitely the mighty Random Movement. I've loved every track the guy has ever sent to me and he has that Calibre kind of feel where he just understands the music and can experiment with it to create something truly special. His debut album is due out this year and is something I am really looking forward to. Also, SPY is smashing it at the moment. He has an amazing arsenal of tracks ready to unleash on the market so get ready!

Finally, what does 2010 hold for Marky?

Lots more touring in Europe, the US and Asia and a couple of big releases for labels like D-Style and GRID. Then maybe we'll start looking at this artist album idea...
